About us

The Lambeth First Place Partnership works towards achieving improvements in the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the area, as set out in our Sustainable Community Strategy and the Local Area Agreement.

Formerly known as the Economic Development Partnership, we have changed our name to the Place Partnership. This is to better reflect the wide range of issues that the partnership is responsible for.

The Place Partnership provides the framework and agenda for a number of issues in Lambeth by co-ordinating and developing initiatives relating to:

• investment
• the built environment
• culture
• housing
• climate change
• sustainability
• transport

We also work alongside other Lambeth First partners to achieve the aims of the Sustainable Community Strategy and Local Area Agreement more broadly.

Our vision

The Place Partnership works to ensure that efforts to improve the vibrancy and vitality of Lambeth are balanced with the need to promote greater sustainability throughout the borough.

We take a long term view of the current challenges in Lambeth, and bring together a range of partners with the vision and expertise to help make our borough a better place to live, work and visit.
