Profound and multiple learning disabilities group

People with profound and multiple learning disabilities have high support needs. They often have difficulty in communicating and are unable to speak up for themselves. But it is important that this group of pepple are still included in the things that affect them.

This means that we need to be creative and try to include the needs of people with high support needs in lots of different ways.

One way we are trying to help improve services for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities is by setting up a special PMLD group.

The group will make sure that the needs of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their families are thought about. They will make sure that services plan for people with high support needs. This group is made up of carers and social care professionals.
