Lambeth's profound and multiple learning disability project

Lambeth carers asked Mencap to do a project looking at how we can improve the lives of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, or PMLD.

People with profound and multiple learning disabilities have high support needs. They have more than one disability and find communicating difficult. This means this group of people find it very hard to speak up for themselves.

The project was to find out what life is like for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and what could be done to make things better. The project is called the Lambeth PMLD project.
