People looking for work will have a chance to walk in with their CV and walk out with a job at the Lambeth Jobs Fair, taking place in Brixton on Thursday 3 March.
The Fair, which is being held by Lambeth First and partners Jobcentre Plus and Work Focused Services Lambeth, will be a fantastic opportunity for jobseekers to meet employers with live vacancies.
Those who may benefit the most from the event will be parents who are looking to find work and those of any age who have recently been employed on Lambeth First's Future Jobs Fund scheme. But anyone who is looking for work is welcome to attend.
At the fair people will be able to:
• meet employers with vacancies in retail, social care, hospitality and more
• apply for jobs
• get information, advice and guidance from our specialist staff
• find out about starting your own business and volunteering
Many of the employers present at the event will be local Lambeth organisations drawn from a range of sectors. Jobs available on the day include retail, catering, administration, healthcare, maintenance and many more.
If you want to attend, it’s essential that you:
• bring an up to date CV, if you have one
• dress smartly
• come prepared to talk to employers about your skills and experience
Entry is free so what are you waiting for? Just turn up on the day, and take the next step to your future job.
The Fair will be held from 10am until 3pm on Thursday 3 March in the Assembly Hall, Lambeth Town Hall, Acre Lane, Brixton, SW9 1RW.
