The Workforce Development Group brings together key Lambeth First partners including the Council, Police, NHS and Lambeth College to develop a range of ways to integrate approaches to workforce development and learning across Lambeth First partners.
The Lambeth First Board has appointed Richard Chambers, Principal of Lambeth College, as workforce development champion, and to produce a business case to demonstrate the value of a more integrated workforce development strategy.
Our Purpose
Central to our purpose is the belief that we need to work in more cooperative ways. this applies not just to agencies, but more fundamentally between professionals and service users and citizens.
We believe that we will provide better public services and outcomes if we work more collaboratively, co-producing and co-designing the next generation of services.
Our Belief
We believe that there are considerable benefits to be gained by integrating workforce development activities - to individual partners and the partnership as a whole - particularly at a time of significant reductions in budgets.
As well securing better value for money and generating economies of scale across the partnership, our partner organisations will benefit from having employees that are better equipped with the skills needed to prosper in environment in which partnership working, collaboration and co-production will be evermore important.
To this end we will seek to develop and deliver workforce development that is not just for professionals but also includes - as part of the learning experience - residents and service users. We want to model in our workforce development activity the way we believe we should work.
