The new, improved Children and Young People's Service Directory is now available at www.younglambeth.org.
The website provides a one-stop source of information on local services, organisations, activities and events for the benefit of children, young people and families, and those who work with them in the borough.
The new directory will be officially launched next month and replaced the old Young Lambeth website, which received a major facelift following a consultation with young people, parents and practitioners.
With separate, specially-targeted areas for parents and carers, children, young people and practitioners, it is now easier for users to find information more specific to the their individual needs.
Some of the more detailed information that can now be found includes information on childcare, schools, learning, health, family support, children's centres, extended services and voluntary organisations.
The website’s search facility, as well as the categories and subcategories, have been reviewed and redesigned to allow for a quicker and more intuitive search, while the database has been extended from 350 to 1200 records.
A user friendly online update tool has been developed to allow service providers to manage their profile page and easily update the information directly on-line, when needed.
