Last chance to snap up Future Jobs - recruitment closing

Job hunters wanting to kick start their careers only have a matter of days in which to apply for the last available positions under Lambeth First's popular Future Jobs Fund scheme.

The roles, which offer six months of paid work and training in a diverse range of Lambeth organisations, have been snapped up by 200 job seekers at risk of long term unemployment. With only days before the scheme closes recruitment, job hunters who are interested in the scheme need to move fast in order to avoid missing out. All successful applicants must be in post by 30 July, meaning that the remaining jobs need to be offered in the next few days.

Hadley Caward, 20, is currently working for Lambeth organisation Nxt Steps through the Future Jobs programme, delivering personal development training for young people. "I've learned how to confidently engage with people and deal with issues within the workplace", he says. "I believe these skills will greatly help me in the future. "

Residents over 24 and receiving out of work benefits may also be eligible for Future Jobs Fund positions – and are encouraged to check with their Jobcentre Plus adviser.
