The Prime Ministers wife Sarah Brown visited the Gracefield Gardens Health and Social Care Centre, Streatham on Thursday 3 April.
Caroline Hewitt, PCT Chair and Matt Cooper, Head of the Customer Centre gave Sarah a guided tour of the centre which provides a one-stop-shop for both Lambeth Council and PCT services.
The services that the centre offer include enquiries about benefits, council tax, housing and parking as well as GP, nursing, foot health, midwifery and therapy services. There are also self-service terminals to access general service information, pay bills and report faults.
Sarah met with both staff and customers and had the opportunity to see how well this partnership works in providing an integrated service to Streatham residents.
Matt Cooper said It was a real privilege to be able to show Sarah Brown how well the centre is supporting Streatham residents and how partnership working can really make a difference to the lives of our residents.
